A couple of friends (James & Russ) came over to help me today, we drug the frame back out of the garage the set it up on jack stands outside so we could primer coat the frame with Eastwood rust encapsulator. First we brought it out and set it up, notice the old t-shirts I used to protect my stands from overspray. Then I used the belt sander for some rough clean up. Then the three of us gave it a quick once over with some fine grit sandpaper. Next we used an air compressor spray nozzle to clean all the dust off. Then started spraying. While we were waiting for the primer to dry so we could give it a second coat we drained and flushed James' brake lines. Then Russ and I moved it to the side of the house where I should have done this to start with and flipped it over to give the bottom its first coat. By this time we had run out of daylight. I finally got most of the unused parts taken out to the shed today also.

January 14th - 21st
Well it's been pretty weird here in Arkansas, a few days after I primed the frame it snowed here, which cost me the weekdays, then Christmas, New Year's, two solid weeks of rain, etc, etc. Combine all that with working late every night for a few weeks and that should explain why I got very little done over the last month. I did finally get it painted though and I've started assembling the frame. I used a DuPont gloss black urethane paint as a top coat. I applied three layers on the bottom and two on the top.
